Cradle is currently in development (not yet live), and all features described here are subject to change.

Benefits

Created by parents for parents.

Cradle is an app that helps moms, dads, and caretakers discover, review, and share family-friendly public spaces. Launching first in Orange County, CA (with plans to expand across the U.S.), Cradle makes it easy to find clean changing stations, comfortable feeding areas, fun parks, and other kid-friendly spots. Our goal is to take the stress out of outings by ensuring you know exactly where to go for the amenities your family needs.

As fellow parents, we know the struggle of going out with kids. In fact, 94% of parents have had to change a diaper in their car, and nearly 60% have done so in a store dressing room due to lack of proper facilities. We’ve felt that pain too, and Cradle aims to change it. By crowdsourcing the best family-friendly locations, Cradle lets you tap into the wisdom of the parenting community so you never have to scramble to find a changing table or kid-safe space again.

Key Features

Phone

Interactive Map

Explore an interactive map with pins marking verified baby- and kid-friendly locations (from restrooms with changing tables to nursing rooms and play areas). Similar parent-driven platforms have mapped hundreds of such amenities and helped families plan outings with confidence – Cradle brings that convenience to Orange County and beyond.

Phone

“Cradle Index”

This is a proprietary rating system that scores locations based on parent and caretaker sentiment. Every location on the map includes a Cradle Index, a quick sentiment score that sums up how family-friendly the spot is at a glance. Think of it as a “family-friendliness rating” based on community reviews and feedback, so you can immediately gauge if a place is a hit with parents.

Phone

Search & Filters

Easily search for what you need and filter results to find the perfect spot. Looking for a “stroller-accessible cafe with a nursing room” or “playground for toddlers”? Cradle’s filters (by amenity, venue type, age suitability, etc.) help you pinpoint the right locations in seconds.

Phone

“Add a Space”

Know a hidden gem that other parents would love? Cradle fosters community contribution by letting users add new family-friendly spots to the map. Our community can contribute and review locations (like that clean park bathroom or the mall with a great changing station), building a shared resource for all parents.

User-submitted locations are verified for accuracy to keep information reliable.

Phone

Favorites & Accounts

Create a free Cradle account to save your favorite places and build your own list of go-to spots. Have a handful of locations you visit often? Mark them as favorites for quick access. (Free tier accounts will have a limit on how many favorites you can save, with options to upgrade for more.) This way, your personal “little black book” of family outings is always at your fingertips.

What’s Next for Cradle

These features are on the horizon – we want to build and test them, and they’ll roll out as the Cradle community develops. Here’s a peek at a few upcoming features on our roadmap that will make Cradle even more useful for families (especially as your kiddos grow):

Park & Playground Discovery

Beyond baby spots, we’ll help you find the best parks and playgrounds. Discover local parks with age-appropriate play equipment, safe play zones, and parent reviews so your older kids (and you) can enjoy the outdoors.

Family Events by Age Range

Browse kid-friendly events and activities in your area, sorted by age group. From toddler story hours to teen tech workshops, Cradle will list upcoming events so you can fill your family calendar with fun.

Trip Planner

Plan out your day or a road trip with our future trip planning tools. Map a route with multiple kid-friendly stops (e.g. a park, a restaurant with a kids’ menu, and a diaper-changing pit stop) and share your itinerary with other families. Perfect for weekend outings or when relatives visit with little ones!

About

Why Support Cradle?

Cradle isn’t built by some big corporation; it’s being built by parents just like you. We’re a group of moms, dads, and caretakers who understand what families need when out and about. Community is at the heart of Cradle, which means every feature is driven by real parent insights and each location is submitted or verified by the community. This user-driven approach helps identify hidden gems and close gaps in family resources across neighborhoods .

When you use Cradle, you’re not just finding a spot – you’re tapping into a network of local parents who have been there and done that. Read honest reviews from other families, trust the Cradle Index sentiments, and even contribute your own tips. Over time, our shared knowledge will raise the bar for family-friendly amenities everywhere. (After all, when parents band together, everyone wins!)

We’re starting in Orange County, so our early community will shape Cradle from the ground up. If you’re in OC, your contributions and feedback are especially valuable to make this app great for your local area. And if you’re outside Orange County, no worries – we’ll be expanding to more cities soon, and your ideas are welcome now to help us prepare for a nationwide rollout.
